Path
All daily stages are 80% on traffic-free bicycle paths near and along the Altmühl River.
The first 1,5 days have easy hills, afterwards flat. Consistently marked. You will ride a wide, curvy valley through a
picture-perfect natural park towards the Danube.

Sights
Rothenburg/T. und
Rothenburg/T., Regensburg, Ansbach (Hohenzollern residence, Baroque garden), and Eichstätt (cathedral; Willibaldsburg castle
complex; diverse churches; and the residence of the Bishop, who was also a sovereign prince). Further on, in the
Altmühl nature park region, we find wonderful castles, palaces, and cloisters like Riedenburg, Pappenheim, Weltenbug, and even
Roman excavations (Pfünz, Limes).
