- Day 1 - Arrival
Arrive by 20:30 in Gunzenhausen near Lake Altmühl, bicycle distribution and information.

- Day 2 - Weißenburg, 28 km
Flat and remote from traffic, the path leads to Treuchtlingen by way of Aha and Berolzheim. Visit the thermal spring of Altmühl. Ride past the Karlsgraben canal to reach the nearby Roman town of Weißenburg.
- Day 3 - Eichstätt, 52 km
Ride past the nature park Altmühl, the Twelve Apostle rock ledges, Pappenheim, Solnhofen, and medieval Dollstein to Eichstätt.
- Day 4 - Dietfurt, 55 km
Visit to Eichstätt; further on through the nature park, passing Arnsberg (castle), Kipfenberg and Beilngries (view of the town) to Dietfurt (Chinese fountain) in "Old Bavaria".
- Day 5 - Regensburg, 63 km
Ride past Riedenburg, Kelheim (confluence of the Altmühl and the Danube), and Bad Abbach to Regensburg.

By bus every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (bicycle transport EUR 16,00/with insurance €63,00). Arrive in Gunzenhausen around 11:30. Otherwise, return by train (2 transfers) or stay additional nights.
