The bicycle path around the third-largest lake in middle Europe has been around for more than 25 years. We've been offering daily rides of about 50 km for a quarter of a century. Your holiday should include time taken for leisure and enjoyment of the sights and views. A multitude of impressions can be expected, from the evening four-course meal to the ship journey to the Rhine Falls.

Route

  • Day 1 - Arrival
    Arrive in the Zeppelin city of Friedrichshafen. Bicycle distribution and information. Park in an open space.

  • Day 2 - Bregenz (A), 45 km
    Visit the Zeppelin museum. Ride past the Langenargen, Nonnenhorn, and the Wasserburg castle to the island of Lindau, then further on to the festival city of Bregenz.

  • Day 3 - Arbon/Egnach (CH), 46 km
    Ride past the nature reserve Alpenrhein estuary to reach the Swiss bank. Pass Rorschach to reach both Arbon (timber-frame buildings) and Egnach.

  • Day 4 - Berlingen/Steckborn (CH), 47 km/b>
    Ride to Berlingen and Steckborn by way of Kreuzlingen and along the lower lake area, passing Ermatingen.

  • Day 5 - The Rhine Falls (CH), 46 km cycle, 40 km train
    Next, reach Stein/Rhein and Schaffhausen and view the Rhine Falls. Ship journey and return by train. Accommodations at the previous night's hotel.

  • Day 6 - Konstanz (D), 48 km cycle, 5 km ship
    Journey by ship to the Höri peninsula (Gaienhofen) then ride to Radolfzell and to the island of Reichenau. Continue further on to Konstanz.

  • Day 7 - Salem (D), 33 km cycle, 5 km ship
    To the nearby floral island of Mainau, continue on by ship from Wallhausen to Überlingen, and further on to Salem by bicycle.

  • Day 8 - Friedrichshafen (D), 36 km
    Head to the prehistoric lakeside dwellings by bicycle for a visit, then continue further on past Meersburg to Friedrichshafen.
