Route
- Day 1 — Arrival
Arrive in Passau. Distribution of bicycles (24—speed, 3 different frame sizes) and informational packets. Private, unguarded car park.
- Day 2 — Linz, 91 km
Ride past Obernzell and Engelszell (monastery) to reach Au and the Schlögen loop in the river. Continue on past Aschach to Linz.
- Day 3 — Persenbeug, 84 km
Ride to Enns, the oldest town in Austria, then travel by ferry to Mauthausen where you will continue on the Danube Bicycle Path through the Strudengau valley to Persenbeug.
- Day 4 — Krems, 68 km
On your way through the Wachau valley, you will pass Melk, Spitz, and Dürnstein.
- Day 5 — Vienna, 75 km
By bicycle, ride to the Roman village of Mautern, through the wine—growing region of Donau—Carnuntum to the garden city of Tulln. Passing Klosterneuburg will bring you to the City of the Waltz!
- Day 6 — Return Journey
Return to Passau by bus or train, or extend your stay in Vienna.
