Route

• Day 1 - Arrival
  Arrive in Metz, distribution of information

• Day 2 - Remich/Luxemburg, 38 km cycle, 34 km train/bus
  Bike distribution in Metz, then time for indiv. sight-seeing, afterwards train ride to Thionville. Ride along the Mosel passing the Three-country-corner (D/L/F) to Remich.

• Day 3 - Trier, 42 km
  Ride past the ruins of Thorn, where the path then leads you to Grevenmacher (butterfly garden), Oberbillig (fishery museum), and Trier, the culture metropolis of the Pfalz region.

• Day 4 - Neumagen-Dhron or Trittenheim, 40 or 48 km
  Ride through vineyards to Schweich (tower), to the Trittenheim loop in the Mosel, and further on to Neumagen-Dhron (oldest wine-growing town in Germany) or to Trittenheim.

• Day 5 - Zell, 63 or 71 km
  The many loops in the Mosel define the landscape found on this day of the ride. After Bernkastel-Kues, ride to Traben-Trarbach into the wine-growing town of Zell ("Schwarze Katz" - the area's most famous wine bar).

• Day 6 - Cochem/Moselkern, 40 km
  Ride past the steepest vineyard in Europe to Bullay and further on into picturesque Cochem.



• Day 7 - Koblenz, 50 km
  Go by bike to the Bischofstein castle, Hatzenport, and further on to Koblenz.

• Day 8 - Return Journey
  Return to Metz by bus or train, or extend your stay with the possibility of a bicycle tour along the Rhine. Return transport of your own bicycle is possible Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at a price of EUR 16,00 without/EUR 63,00 with insurance.
