Danube Bicycle Path Passau - Vienna

Donauradweg Passau - Wien
direct links

This distance bicycle path was developed by our management in 1982 and was created along the old towpath where earlier 60 horses towed laden ships up the river. Today, easygoing holidaymakers pedal the 313 km along this path from Passau to the waltz capital of Vienna. "The Blue Danube": Professor Dr. Marcel Prawy once said that on a warm, dry, windy day that is preceded by 5 to 6 weeks of no rain, the Danube is actually blue. The water quality in the meantime is excellent and fish taken from its waters can be eaten.
