The Salzkammergut - the region of 76 lakes - features many well-marked bicycle paths and side streets. Ride on the shoes of Lake Wolfgangsee or along the rivers Traun, Ischl, and Salzach while experiencing magical views.

Details
Individual bicycle tour. From one hotel, experience daily bicycle and bathing excursions. Free, public bathing beaches at each lake invite you to swim in their clear waters.
Route
- Saturday, arrival
in Strobl or Abersee on the shores of Lake Wolfgangsee. Distribution of bicycles and informational packets. Arrival by train at Salzburg Main Station. Bus station near the hotel (not included).
- Sunday: Lake Wolfgangsee (38 km, flat)
Ride on the bicycle path on the shores to St. Gilgen. Then on to Fürberg, half an hour hike on the pilgrimage path to the Wolfgang Chapel. Return by bicycle.
- Monday: Hallstatt (54 km cycle flat to easy hills, 22 km train)
Pedal past Kaltenbach. Ride on the Train bicycle path to Lake Hallstatt to Steeg. Walk to Grub Castle and to the Hallstatt ferry. Return by train to Bad Ischl and then by bicycle to the hotel.
- Tuesday: Lake Mondsee (55 km flat - one hill of 50 m, 7 km bus)
First to St. Gilgen and then on the Salzkammergut bicycle path to Lake Krottensee. Then to Lake Mondsee. Around the lake to Tiefgraben and Scharfling. Bus to Winkl and return to hotel.
- Wednesday: Lake Traun (46 km flat, 18 km train, 5 km ship)
Cycle to Bad Ischl and then on the Traun bicycle path to Lake Ebensee. Ship journey over Lake Traun to Hoisn. Ride along the lake to Gmunden. Train journey Altmünster - Bad Ischl, return by bicycle.
- Thursday: Lake Hintersee & Salzburg (51 km cycle flat to slight downhill, 49 km bus)
By bus to the Sausteigalm. Ride along Lake Hintersee to Hallein. Along the Salzach bicycle path to Salzburg. Visit to the city. Return by bus.
- Friday: Ried/Falkenstein-Wand (44 km flat)
Cycle to St. Wolfgang and Ferienhort. Walk to the chapel. Return by bicycle.
- Saturday: return journey
